MSG Media is home to the longest running regional sports network in the country, MSG Network, as well as MSG+, and high-definition channels, MSG HD and MSG+ HD.
Founded in 1969, MSG Network is the television home of the New York Knicks (NBA), New York Rangers (NHL), Buffalo Sabres (NHL), New York Red Bulls (MLS), New York Liberty (WNBA) and Westchester Knicks (NBADL).
MSG+, which was originally SportsChannel and later Fox Sports Net New York, joined the MSG brand in 2008 and is the television home of the New Jersey Devils (NHL) and New York Islanders (NHL).
Together, the two networks telecast over 700 live NBA, NHL, college football and basketball games from top national conferences every year, as well as four weekly New York Giants (NFL) programs during the football season, thoroughbred racing, tennis, boxing, action sports and award-winning original programming, including “Beginnings,” and “The Lineup.” In addition, MSG is home to "Four Courses with J.B. Smoove," "The Mask with Henrik Lundqvist," and the special 20-part television event "The Garden's Defining Moments" premiering spring 2015.
In December 2014, MSG Networks launched “MSG GO,” a service that gives sports fans access to live television and video on demand content on smartphones, tablets, and computers. “MSG GO” enables fans, whether at home or on-the-go, to watch all live Knicks games as they appear on MSG Networks. Fans can also view all Knicks live pre- and post-game shows, as well as current and past episodes of MSG’s original programming.
MSG Media has been recognized for its commitment to excellence in programming. Over the past seven years, MSG Network has won 99 New York Emmy Awards, more than any single network or station in the region, while MSG Media, which includes MSG Network, MSG+ and MSG.com, has totaled 113 wins during that time and 216 in its history.
