As chief operating officer of The Madison Square Garden Company (MSG), Rob Comstock oversees the operation of our venues and works closely and collaboratively across the executive leadership team to identify ways to change and improve the Company’s business. This includes the regular review of key metrics and diagnostics to facilitate appropriate decision-making and drive value through efficient and effective operations, while also advancing the Company’s growth plans.
Mr. Comstock has more than 20 years of business leadership experience at customer-centric companies. Prior to joining MSG in 2017, Mr. Comstock served as chief executive officer of Sperian Energy, where he oversaw all business activities and operations, while preparing the Company for expansion into new markets and product offerings. Before Sperian, Mr. Comstock was executive vice president of Operations for Cablevision Systems Corporation, a leading media and telecommunications company, where he was responsible for all aspects of the Company’s customer experience. This included everything from network management and field operations, to Wi-Fi execution and customer service for the Company’s residential and commercial digital cable, high-speed Internet and voice products. Before joining Cablevision, Mr. Comstock spent nearly a decade at Direct Energy, an energy and energy-related services provider, where he last served as senior vice president and general manager of the Company’s U.S. residential retail energy business. In addition to driving improved operations, he played a key role in facilitating several of Direct Energy’s acquisitions, helping to establish it as the largest residential deregulated energy and services company in North America. Mr. Comstock began his career at Hess Corporation and worked at The New Power Company and SUNOCO Inc. before joining Direct Energy.
Mr. Comstock holds a BBA in Finance from Hofstra University.
