MSG Network Picks Up Season Two of Comedian JB Smoove's Show

Ten All-New Episodes of the MSG Original Series “Four Courses with JB Smoove” to Debut in January

New York, NY (November 5, 2013) - MSG Network has announced that its original series “Four Courses with JB Smoove,” starring comedian and actor JB Smoove, will return to the network for a second season with ten all-new episodes starting in January.

One of the hottest comedians in America, best known for his role as Leon Black on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Smoove hosts a group of comedians, athletes and entertainers at a four-course meal to discuss everything New York City, from Knicks basketball to life in the Big Apple.

Taped at Manhattan’s Amali Restaurant & Bar, season two’s guests include: recording artists Nick Cannon and Darryl McDaniels (D.M.C.); comedians Cedric the Entertainer, Jeff Ross, Darrell Hammond, Jim Norton, Keith Robinson, Mario Cantone, Susie Essman, and Wyatt Cenac; actors Ralph Macchio and Steve Schirripa; former Knicks John Starks and Anthony Mason; Giants great Carl Banks; former Jets Bart Scott and Greg Buttle; and former Ranger Anson Carter.

“I’m really excited to bring ‘Four Courses with JB Smoove’ back to MSG Network,” said Smoove. “As a New Yorker, being a part of the MSG family with Carmelo Anthony, Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier and Henrik Lundqvist is an amazing feeling. I’ve eaten so much good food while doing this show that I had to buy a Stairmaster. We’re back, baby!”

“To have an incredibly talented person like JB Smoove on MSG Network is a big win for our viewers and we are thrilled to have ‘Four Courses’ back for a second season,” said Ocean MacAdams, senior vice president of programming and acquisitions, MSG Networks. “As a New Yorker, a New York sports fan and one of the best comedians in the world JB attracts a unique audience, which fits perfectly with MSG’s sports and entertainment brand.”

“Four Courses with JB Smoove” premiered on MSG in June as the headliner of Original Wednesday’s, part of the network’s lineup of Summer Block Party programming starting Memorial Day weekend. Taped at Tre Dici in midtown Manhattan, Smoove’s season one dinner guests included: former Knicks Rasheed Wallace and Larry Johnson; Brooklyn native and three-time NBA Champion John Salley; comedian and “30 Rock” actor Judah Friedlander; comedians and former “Saturday Night Live” cast members Colin Quinn and Jim Breuer; comedian, actor and writer Nick DePaolo; TV and radio personality Stephen A. Smith; and hip hop artist and emcee of “The Roots” Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter.
