MSG Names Felix Ciampa Senior Vice President, Government Affairs

New York, NY (March 8, 2010) - Madison Square Garden (NASDAQ: MSG) announced today that Felix Ciampa has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president, government affairs. Mr. Ciampa will report to Joseph Lhota, executive vice president, administration.

Mr. Ciampa will be responsible for directing the overall government affairs portfolio for Madison Square Garden including building strategic relationships at the local, state and federal levels and developing and managing legislative and regulatory agendas in support of the business initiatives.

Previously, Mr. Ciampa worked in the office of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg serving most recently as chief of staff for the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development for the City of New York Bob Lieber, where he managed the daily operations of the office responsible for developing and implementing economic development policies and initiatives for the Bloomberg Administration. He also advised the Deputy Mayor on public policy, budgetary, legislative, political, and media issues related to the economic development portfolio and lead negotiations with the New York City Council on key economic development projects requiring public approval through the City's land use review process, including the rezoning of Willets Point in Queens and Coney Island in Brooklyn.

Prior to working in Mayor Bloomberg's office, he spent nearly four years working for the New York City Economic Development Corporation where he was senior vice president, government and community relations and later was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer where he oversaw the management of several divisions and departments including Strategy and Policy, Asset Management/Capital Program, Transportation, Public Affairs, Marketing, and Government and Community Relations.

In 2002, Mr. Ciampa served as Deputy Director and Counsel for the Mayor's Office of City Legislative Affairs managing the operation of the office that represents the Mayor and city agencies at the City Council and serves as the liaison between the Administration and the Offices of the Comptroller, the Public Advocate and the Borough Presidents. Mr. Ciampa began his career as a legislative attorney in the office of the General Counsel for the City Council and was later promoted to Chief Counsel on Ethics and Counsel to the Committee on Standards and Ethics.

Mr. Ciampa holds a doctorate of jurisprudence from St. John's University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Fordham University.
